Because we have a strict limit on the number of people our base camp can support, to register in this camp, you must secure a space with one of the collaborating Pods. For registration availability, contact the individual Pod leaders or email charles (at) fractalnationvillage.com.
We do have a Waiting List for space availability. If you’d like to be on our Waiting List, please Register here and under “Pod” enter “WAIT LIST.” You’ll be notified when spots open up.
Background
Envisionary will provide a different kind of camping experience this year. It is a camp by working artists, for working artists. It is not a hotel, and there will be no open registration. Nearly everyone in base camp is either Core, Crew, artist, performer, support staff, guest or VIP. This means that Envisionary is a participatory camp, and one way or another, we are all responsible for making it run. Our talent, our labor, and our hard-earned funds, in the form of camp fees, are what drives this project.
We understand that many, if not most of us, work the festival circuit professionally. We’re all used to being treated a certain way, and we often have a lot of expectations, since this is how we make our bread. What we hope in part to achieve with Envisionary is not just an unparalleled production in terms of quality and excitement, but also a more modest return to the fundamental ideas of radical self-reliance, and radical participation. In other words, look at your participation in this camp not as being “in” a scene, but in helping create a scene . What will this camp offer the general population of Black Rock City, as our gift to the Playa, in this auspicious and memorable year of “Rites of Passage?” How many of us found our true lives and souls out there on the sun-baked gypsum fields? For all those who will come seeking transformation, what will be our part in helping to create the best transformative experience anyone could ever seek?
Both Envisionary Camp and FractalNation Village are grassroots efforts by Playa veterans. There are no big money interests behind this project, no investors or pools of cash. We the artists are manifesting and creating this experience ourselves, from our own wherewithal.
We have devised a kind of modularized “Pod” system which apportions space to each collaborating entity. Our camp population, and management, is broken down into these Pods, represented by each of the separate collaborating groups. Each Pod is responsible for sourcing its own roster of 10-30 campers, building its own residential area, and creating its own meal plan. With your Pod, you can plan to bring your own food to store and prepare, in which case we will provide a Refrigeration Truck and Communal Kitchen to support that. Or you can chose to cater your needs, and contract a meal plan with our main caterer, or bring in your own catering crew at your own expense.
We know you know the drill, so what we’d like to ask of you is that you come prepared, and be willing to lend a hand somehow. With a baseline amount of focused effort from everyone up front, we will be able to sit back and enjoy ourselves throughout Burn week, etching into memory what will invariably be the time of our lives.
We look forward to sharing love, joy, and release in the dusty chaos….

Greetings Fellow Villagers,
I am a Virgin Burner – and will be part of the Rick Doblin, Enthion, Maps contingent. I am a friend of and invited by Jeffrey Bergen.
I am anticipating to be of service to the camp for a couple of hours a day. My friend said to let you know what my talents are so you can point my in the right direction and properly funnel my service.
I am a Jazz Singer and an Interior Designer from New York City. who is continually looking to expand my experience of the unusual and sacred. Beauty is my muse and I always try to bring harmony and balance and flow to any space that I ‘m working with. I am organized and energetic.
I love organic cooking with a bent toward Mediterranean and Mexican cuisine. My background is Italian, Mexican with a little Navajo and Apache thrown in for good Karmic behavior.
As a peaceful Warrior on her quest for self-actualization, I find myself a one new adventure after another. Can’t wait for this one.
See you on the playa
